The city name Doraville is often associated with the General Motors Plant. This area is now referred to as Assembly Doraville. And not too far from this currently vacant swath of land is Chestnut Place Townhomes. And that is just one of the reasons that makes their location a reason to consider buying at Chestnut Place Townhomes.
The initial phase of the community was built in 2007-2008. The the real estate market crashed and the developer went bankrupt. The remaining two lots (or buildings) have been completed by Milani Homes. (You might know Fred Milani for his infamous Atlanta White House!)
It looks like there will be 6 homes in each building, or a total of 12 new construction homes that will be available. Some floor plans will offer TWO master suites on the upper level, while others will have a master suite and two additional bedrooms. All the homes will have an additional bedroom and bath on the lower garage level entrance.
Features in the new construction homes at Chestnut Place Townhomes will include 2 car garage, Frigidaire appliances, granite countertops and wood cabinetry. Hardwood floors will be available, although initial information does not indicate WHERE hardwoods will be standard and what will be optional. (thinking bedroom carpet and main level hardwoods?)
The community does not offer a pool or clubhouse. Residents can get a membership to the Doraville City Pool and there are a couple other nearby membership pool options.
Location is really what Chestnut Place Townhomes is all about!
As you can see from the map above, you are a a minute from access to either I-285 (The Perimeter) or I-85 headed to Buckhead, Midtown or Downtown! And the redevelopment of the former GM plant, Now called Assembly Doraville, will offer a unique mixed use area that you can walk to. (Once the covered street is built under the Doraville MARTA station! The development team that is buying the property (as of August, 2014) has said it will be BETTER than Atlantic Station!
The City of Doraville has an incredible police department, and you are close to the International corridor of Buford Highway, including the famous Buford Highway Farmer’s Market. The surrounding neighborhood, Northwoods, was just placed on the National Register of Historic Neighborhoods with it’s awesome 50’s and 60’s style ranch homes. There are two neighborhood parks, Brook Park and Autumn Park, both within walking distance of the community.
Grab one of these great townhomes in an even better location before the limited inventory is GONE! They are Under Construction NOW!
